Camógs bow out to clinical Tipp

Glen Dimplex All-Ireland Premier Junior Camogie Championship

Tipperary 2-12 Roscommon 0-8

There was no luck for the Roscommon junior camogie team as they were defeated by Tipperary in the Glen Dimplex All-Ireland semi-final at Ashbourne on Saturday though the final score of 2-12 to 0-8 was very unfair to a gallant Roscommon team who were well in the match until the final quarter.

Tipp led 0-8 to 0-3 at half-time but Roscommon were excellent in the third quarter and points from Orla Connolly, Shauna Fallon and Niamh Watson saw the margin downm to four by the 44th minute.

But two goals in a three minute spell from player of the match Jean Kelly settled the match. Kelly scored 2-7 of the Tipperary total.

Best for Roscommon were Niamh Watson, Aine O’Meara, Sally Bolger and Rachel Fitzmaurice.
