Cairde Coláiste Mhuire, Ballygar to host annual BBQ event this Bank Holiday Sunday night

Following on from the huge success of their Summer Gathering last year, Coláiste Mhuire, Ballygar are to hold their annual BBQ event with the ever popular Big Generator. It will be held in the Mattie McDonagh Centre this Bank Holiday Sunday night, June 5th. Last year’s gathering provided the opportunity for many past pupils from various years to get together for an informal reunion and catch up. It promises to be an excellent night of food, fun and dancing. All members of the community, young and old,  are encouraged to attend as all music tastes are catered for over the course of the evening. The barbecue will be fired up from 8.30 pm with easy listening music provided by Ian Deery. Later in the evening, Big Generator will take to the stage to rock the night away. Big Generator front man Ed commented that he is  “looking forward immensely to the night. It’s always a super gig as the crowd are always in flying form. The weather looks like it’s going to be amazing, so what better way to kick off the summer?”

Tickets are available from the school office or at the door on the night. This is a fully licensed event with late bar. Admission 10 euro. (This covers food and entertainment from both bands.)
