Bulgarian property exhibition in the Abbey Hotel

A major exhibition of Bulgarian property takes place this weekend in the Abbey Hotel in Roscommon. Why not go along on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th and get your information from the experts, who have been visiting Bulgaria for the past 27 years? Property in Bulgaria remains an attractive investment, with guaranteed rental income for a set period being available on some properties. Sean Boylan began going to Bulgaria 27 years ago, when he first started visiting the country as a skiing destination. ‘When it became possible to invest there after 2000, I researched the market for myself. I now act and advise other people who are interested in investing in that country. Bulgaria joined the EU on January 1 st this year. It’s a lovely country. It has the longest beach line in Europe, 340 km of beach along the Black Sea coast. The skiing resorts in the mountains are very popular with Irish people. The capital Sofia is also a popular place to invest.  ‘Another interesting development is that a lot of people are interested in buying agricultural land and farming it. Agricultural land is very attractively priced.’ Money stretches much farther in Bulgaria. For example, a one bed apartment on the beach will set you back €53,500, while if you opt for a two-bedroom apartment, this costs €64,894. Guaranteed rental income of up to 14 percent for two years is available for properties in a ski resort, while in the capital Sofia, a large city centre apartment costs €75,000, with lots of different options available. ‘I’m from Monaghan and we recently moved to Cootehill, we run the business from there and cover all of Ireland.’ Clients from Co. Roscommon are among those already on Sean’s books. ”There is a big interest in Bulgaria now and properties are still very reasonable,’ said Sean. The exhibition in the Abbey Hotel is open on Saturday and Sunday, 11 am to 6 pm. For further details on this property exhibition, call Sean Boylan on (087) 9881234 or (049) 5556696.
