Boyle takes senior ladies title

Boyle ladies football team created history on Saturday evening in Ballyforan when they won the Roscommon senior club championship for the first time.

Having won the intermediate championship in 2022 Boyle fought their way to the senior final where they were the underdogs against the hotly fancied Clann na nGael.

But goals from Saoirse Wynne in the first half and Aisling Feely and Caoimhe Cregg in the second half saw them defeat Clann by 3-8 to 2-4 in a thrilling final.

Roisin Wynne was the deserved player of the match following a phenomenal game for Boyle at centre half-back. Final score: Boyle 3-8 Clann na nGael 2-4.

Éire Óg won the Intermediate title beating St Ciaran’s by two points, 2-7 to 0-11.

Michael Glavey’s won the junior title as they defeated Northern Harps by 4-11 to 3-6.
