Two members of the Botanical Society of the British Isles, both experts on the botany of Co. Roscommon, will give guided walks in Lough Key Forest Park in Boyle on Saturday next, May 19th, to mark National Biodiversity Week in the county. John Earley and Michael Archer are the botanists who will lead the Boyle walks. Visitors to the park can also look forward to a Monster Biodiversity Board Game, created by the National Parks and Wildlife Service, which will run in the Forest Park from 2 pm to 5 pm on Saturday, May 19th. Other events planned for the county include a Bat Walk in St. John’s Wood in Lecarrow at 78 pm on Tuesday, May 22nd. Bring along a torch and see the bats in full flight. Please park cars at the community centre, where a bus will be available to transport you to St. John’s Wood.
