Ibec has announced the appointment of Kevin Brady, Vice President and General Manager at Biogen as its new President for the Midlands region. He succeeds Pat O’Neill Vice President and General Manager at Innovize. Mr Brady was elected by Ibec’s Midlands Regional Executive Committee to serve as Regional President.
Speaking about his appointment, Kevin Brady said “I am honoured to have been appointed Ibec Midlands Regional President at a pivotal time for business, and I would like to thank Pat O’Neill for his excellent stewardship. The Midlands has enormous potential as a place to live, work, and invest, underpinned by a strong base of enterprise and an increasingly strategic role in Ireland’s economic development. Ensuring the delivery of critical infrastructure and the development of skills to support sustainable growth and competitiveness will be key priorities. Central to this will be fostering a culture of innovation, leveraging the Midlands’ position as an emerging hub for high-tech enterprise and digital transformation.
Serving as Regional President is especially exciting as we approach Ireland’s EU Presidency. Through Ibec’s campaign ‘Making a Resilient, Competitive EU a reality’ – there is a vital opportunity to ensure that the priorities of business are clearly articulated and advanced at a European level. Ibec will play a central role in advocating on behalf of the business community, ensuring the EU agenda is defined by competitiveness and enterprise resilience.”
