2008 marks the 30th anniversary of the foundation of Ballyhaunis Community School. To mark this special occasion a CD of liturgical music has been recorded by the school folk-group. The CD ‘One More Song’ will be launched on Thursday 13th March at 5.30 pm in the school auditorium. All proceeds from sales will go to Mayo/Roscommon Hospice and The Irish Association of Suicidology. The CD is a collection of popular classics such as ‘You Raise Me Up’, ‘Shout to the Lord’ and ‘Voice of an Angel’ together with newer compositions ‘One More Song’, ‘With You by My Side’ and ‘You are Mine’. Organisers would like to see as many past pupils and parents as possible in attendance, most especaially those who were in the Leaving Certificate Class of 1978.
