This year, Ballygar Truckin’ is changing from its annual one-day event, comprising of a Truck and Tractor Run and a monster auction in aid of a local charity, to an entire weekend of fun-filled events to celebrate its 10th anniversary.

Running from Friday, 27th of October to Sunday, 29th of October, it promises to be a great weekend for the whole family to enjoy.

The Ballygar Truckin’ weekend will kick off on Friday, 27th of October with the internationally renowned BINGO LOCO event in the Mattie McDonagh Centre, starting at 9 pm.

This event has taken the world by storm with sold-out shows in over 200 locations around the globe. Bingo Loco flips the traditional game of bingo on its head and turns it into a 3-hour long interactive stage show for all ages.

Prizes ranging from international holidays to air-fryers, inflatables and so much more will be won on the night. This will be a sell-out event so get your tickets now!

There will also be an adult late disco after the Bingo Loco event with the Loco crew and all are welcome. Doors for late Disco will be 11.30 pm.

On day two of the Ballygar Truckin’ weekend there’s an invitation for all vintage enthusiasts to take to the streets of Ballygar from 11 am to 3 pm on Saturday, 28th of October, where surrounding vintage clubs will showcase their vintage cars, tractors and trucks around Market Square and along the Main Street. This will be a great family day to be enjoyed by all.

The second day of the event will conclude with music from Declan Nerney and his band in the Mattie McDonagh Centre, with doors opening at 11 pm.

Sunday, 29th of October will feature the main event; the Ballygar Truckin’ Truck & Tractor Run at 3 pm.

Having attracted over 200 trucks and tractors from all parts of Ireland last year, this event is one not to be missed.

All children with rolley tractors and trucks are invited to gather outside St Mary’s Church at 2 pm to help kick off the day with a junior Rolley Truck & Tractor Run down the Main Street at 2.30 pm. Kids activities and food stalls will be available to be enjoyed by all throughout the day.

Once the young people have warmed up the road for the main run, trucks and tractors from surrounding areas and beyond will take to the road, going through Mount Talbot, Four Roads, Ballyforan, Ballinamore Bridge and Newbridge, before returning to Ballygar.

There will be music provided by Shaun Donoghue outside Fallon’s Bar which will welcome back our drivers before kicking off our Monster Auction in the Lounge of Fallon’s Bar at 7 pm.

The main event is then wrapped up with music from the very talented Paul Kelly in the Mattie McDonagh Centre, with doors opening 11 pm.

Lucky Dip!

Throughout the weekend, the committee will be running a Lucky Dip competition with tickets on sale in all businesses. The winner of the Lucky Dip will win the amazing prize of two tickets to Taylor Swift Eras Tour in Dublin (VIP Experience & accommodation included) OR €1500 in cash.

Local taxi services will also be on duty throughout the weekend to get you all home safe.
