Ballinlough native appointed Sales Manager with Agri-Lloyd

Ballinlough native Liam McDonnell has been appointed Sales Manager for Ireland for Agri-Lloyd International.             Liam will have responsibility for recruiting, training and managing a nationwide team of agents. Agri-Lloyd brands used to supplement cattle and sheep feed include Cowcare and Liquithrive.             Educated at St. Patrick’s College in Ballyhaunis, Liam went on to study agricultural science at University College, Galway, graduating with a degree in agriculture in 1982. Since then he has worked in Kildalton agricultural college, the meat industry and farm machinery sales.             Liam was a member of the Roscommon team that won the Connacht Minor football final in 1975 and also won Connacht Colleges senior soccer medal in 1976 and an All Ireland U21 football medal with Roscommon in 1978.             Liam is married to Karen, a clinical nurse facilitator at Crumlin’s Children’s hospital and they have three children. He is a football coach at Cappagh GAA club in Kilcock parish in Co. Kildare. In addition to his GAA activities he also enjoys gardening, Irish literature and astronomy.             AgriLloyd International is part of the Tangerine Group.
