Henry Loughnane scored early for Ballinasloe Town and Paddy Flatly levelled the game with thirty-five minutes played. Henry added a second for the winners with David Keavney replying for Cloonfad United. In the last minute of the game Mark Duffy scored the winner for Ballinasloe. Ballymoe FC 1 Castlerea Celtic 3 Castlerea Celtic is just two points behind the leaders Ballinasloe Town with just two games to be played. They beat Ballymoe FC 3 – 1 in Ballymoe and face Cloonfad United and Ballinasloe Town in their remaining games. Michael Gaffey scored for Ballymoe after fifteen minutes of play. Ronal Curran levelled the game ten minutes later and in the second half Conor McSharry scored from the penalty spot and later from open play to win all three points for Castlerea Celtic. Dysart 4 Kilkerrin United 2 Dysart keep their hopes of winning the League championship alive with a 4 – 2 win over Kilkerrin United in Dysart. Jason Ward gave Kilkerrin a 1 – 0 lead after five minutes of play and Keith Waldron replied for Dysart ten minutes later. Andy Higgins had Dysart ahead at the break. Declan Murphy converted a penalty kick for the visitors before Robbie Byrne and Keith Waldron added two more for Dysart. ATHLONE NISSAN DIVISION ONE Ahascragh United 0 St. John’s Athletic 0 St. John’s Athletic are the newly champions of the Athlone Nissan Division 1 of the Roscommon and District League. Going into their last game of the season they required a point from their away game against Ahascragh United in Ahascragh. St. John’s defended well and came away with the required point following a scoreless draw. St. John’s Athletic lost only two of their eighteen league games this season and are in the Quarter finals of the Challenge Cup. Strokestown United 5 Manor United 0 Strokestown United will be playing in the Premier Division of the Roscommon and District League for the first time in their long history following a 5 – 0 victory over Manor United in Strokestown. United finish in second place just one point behind league winners, St. John’s Athletic. Conor Silke and John Hagan gave Strokestown United a 2- 0 interval lead and Mark McEvoy, Rory O’Connor and Connor Silke added three more in the second half for the winners. While drawing seven of their eighteen games, Strokestown United have lost only one league game all season. Rahara Rovers 1 Cam Celtic 1 Rahara Rovers failed to make the runners-up spot in Division 1 when they were held to 1 – 1 draw in a local derby game with Cam Celtic in Rahara. Noel Moran opened the scoring when he converted a penalty kick for Rahara Rovers after Philip Nestor was fouled. Dermott O’Connor got an equaliser for Cam Celtic in the last minute of the game. Ballinasloe Town B 2 Ericsson FC 0 Ballinasloe Town B beat Ericsson FC 2 – 0 at Ballinasloe. Jason Campbell got on the end of two free kicks in the first half to win the points for Ballinasloe Town.
