Back to school checklist

With September drawing near, parents and children across the country are getting set to return to school. Focused on ensuring parents and kids have everything they need for school, this week the People has put together the following checklist to help ensure parents and kids are ready for the year. It’s a good idea to start buying early. Shops do start to run out by the end of the summer and you need to leave time to get everything that your children may need for the school year. Other than their school uniform, here are some of the other items of clothing that you child may need. Considering the summer we’ve just had, it would be a good idea to invest in a coat or rain jacket to keep your child warm and dry all year. A tracksuit is also important as well as shorts, football socks, and runners etc. so your child can take part in PE-related activities. There are of course other necessary items. A lunchbox and flask for the child’s lunch as well as all the stationary needed. This includes pens, pencils, a pencil case, calculator, erasers, colouring pencils and of course a school bag to put everything into to. You will also need all the books which have been specified by the school. These books will need to look the part, which means covering them with covering paper which can be purchased at most local shops. After buying all of the above, your child should have more than they need for going back to school. It is advisable to get all these items in order as soon as possible as it’s never too early to start getting ready for going back to school.
