Gardai in Roscommon are currently investigating an attempted violent robbery at Timothy’s Londis in the Abbeytown area of Roscommon Town at approximately 8.15 p.m. yesterday evening, April 12th.
CCTV footage from the shop and a phone video currently circulating shows a hooded man entering the supermarket while yielding a hammer, he is then seen attempting to hold up two members of staff behind the counter. The man subsequently left the premises.
No arrests have currently been made and Gardai say that investigations are ongoing.
