It’s been a very busy period at Roscommon Farmers Market, which will celebrate one year in existence next week. In addition to the regular Friday morning markets a Market Kitchen programme has commented in Gleeson’s Townhouse at The Square, Roscommon. The first of those evenings took place last Thursday (November 1) and was very well attended, with significant funds raised for Bothar. A fish cooking demonstration was given by celebrity chef Enda Conneally and Gerry Blaine of Roscommon Farmers market. Meanwhile on Thursday night, November 15, the second night in the series takes place with a special ‘Lamb night’ commencing at 8.30 pm. This promises to be a very special evening as the first anniversary of the opening of Roscommon Farmers Market is being celebrated on the night. Tickets for the night are just €10 and there are a limited number available. Food and wine will be available. There are no plans to sell tickets on the door on the night so those wishing to attend should book tickets at the reception in Gleesons and/or enquire at Farmers Market.
