Five organisations in County Roscommon were allocated funding totalling €228,000 this week by the Arts Council. The five groups to benefit are Roscommon County Council arts office €80,000, Boyle Arts Festival €47,000, Roscommon Arts Centre €75,000, Strokestown international poetry festival €24,000 and Three Rivers Storytelling festival €2,500. Mary Cloake, Arts Council Director, said: ‘The last five years have seen a transformation in the artistic landscape of County Roscommon. The Arts Council is very pleased to work with Roscommon County Council in supporting this vibrant growth.’
