And the award for best actor goes to…Tom!

 

Roscommon Drama Group set out on their five-stop journey with ‘Touching Tomorrow’ by Gillian Plowman, through the qualifiers in the One Act All-Ireland Drama Festival to be held in Letterkenny.

  The first stop was Coolgreaney in Co. Wexford last Saturday week and in their very first public performance under the direction of Mary Cox, the group received two nominations from the adjudicator, one for best actor, Tom Holian, and one for best actress, Joanne Hone.

  The next stop was Ballina the following night (Sunday) where they went one better with Tom taking the award for best actor!

  Roscommon Drama Group are performing in Mullagh, Co. Cavan tonight (Thursday), in Tubbercurry next Friday, with the final performance on the circuit in Manorhamilton on Saturday week.

  Closer to home, the group are performing three one-act plays each night, including ‘Touching Tomorrow’, on Thursday, 23rd, Friday, 24th and Saturday, 25th of November in the Roscommon Arts Centre.
