An Tobar (formerly George’s) opens on Friday night

One of Roscommon town’s landmark pubs is to re-open this Friday night under new management.

Formerly known as George’s, An Tobar – which is located on The Square – is re-opening under new proprietor Paul Donoghue.

The ever-popular premises will open its doors on Friday evening, December 4th, at 6 pm. Paul Donoghue and staff would like to welcome everybody along for what promises to be a gala occasion.

Paul told the Roscommon People that he has “completely renovated” the premises so patrons will be eager to view the new-look given to what is a long-established bar.

Music on Friday night will be provided by Rambling Bob, while the opening celebrations will continue on Saturday and Sunday night, with Celtic Crú and Lofty respectively providing the entertainment.

Going forward, the pub will open at 10.30 am on Mondays to Saturdays and from noon on Sundays.
