Ambassador to unveil bust to renowned archaeologist

On Sunday, 16th December, His Excellency, Noel Fahey, Irish Ambassador to the Holy See, will unveil a bust of Fr. Joseph Mullooly, OP, the renowned archaeologist who discovered the ancient Basilica of S. Clemente in Rome, in Lanesborough, Co. Longford. Fr. Mullooly was born in Lehery in the Parish of Rathcline and in the current year was honoured in Rome and in his native parish when the 150th Anniversary of his discovery was commemorated. The bust by local artist Mel French which is located in the grounds of the Parish Church will be unveiled after the 11.30 Mass on the 16th of September.
