An alternative water supply is being provided in Arigna following a burst water main at Derrinisky.
Uisce Éireann says the burst is affecting a number of homes and businesses on the Arigna Regional Water Supply, although network adjustments have reduced the number of customers impacted.
An alternative water supply is being made available at Arigna Church car park from 2 pm today.
Customers collecting water should bring their own containers and are advised to boil the water before consumption as a precaution.
Repair works are scheduled to begin at 5 pm today once quarry and coal deliveries in the area have finished and traffic-management arrangements can be put in place.
Uisce Éireann said it may take several hours after repairs are completed for reservoir levels to recover and normal supply to return fully.
