All to play for in the IFC this weekend…

Mulryan Construction IFC Round 2

Group A:

Éire Óg v St. Aidan’s on Saturday in Castlerea at 5.30 pm

Aidan’s are improving and they were unlucky against Oran last weekend. Éire Óg were well beaten by Michael Glavey’s but they get a hesitant vote to get back on the winning trail.

Prediction: Éire Óg

Michael Glavey’s v Tulsk on Saturday in Castlerea at 7.15 pm

This promises to be a cracking game. Tulsk lost nothing in defeat in a thriller against Fuerty and will be anxious to win this one. Glavey’s were impressive last weekend and are anxious to get back to the senior ranks at the first time of asking. Tulsk need the win more though and I give them a slight edge.

Prediction: Tulsk

Oran v Fuerty on Sunday in Rockfield at 3 pm

No love lost here between these neighbours. Fuerty were excellent against Tulsk while Oran struggled against St. Aidan’s. At home, Oran will be expected to win but they are short a lot of players at the moment and Fuerty’s form is much better.

Prediction: Fuerty

Group B:

St. Dominic’s v Kilbride on Saturday in Knockcroghery at 7.15 pm

This looks a very tight affair. Kibride lost out to Shannon Gaels but played very well with 14 men for most of the game while Dominic’s recorded a very good win against St Michael’s. I’m going to sit on the fence for this one.

Prediction: A draw

St. Michael’s v St. Barry’s on Sunday in Kilglass at 2 pm

Both sides were beaten last weekend and will be targeting this game as one to win. St. Michael’s can do it if they can get their full team out.

Prediction: St. Michael’s

Creggs v Shannon Gaels on Sunday in Enfield at 2 pm

Both sides were very impressive winners last weekend putting up big totals as well. Creggs will be up against it here though as Shannon Gaels look a very solid side, especially up front.

Prediction: Shannon Gaels
