The Roscommon intercounty pool team are in action again on the 15th March against Mayo and Leitrim in a Leitrim venue. In preparation for these matches trials and competitions are ongoing in the Church Street Station, Roscommon every Wednesday night from 9.30 pm. New players welcome. For more details contact 0879053862. MGF Pool Classic: After a lapse of a few years the very popular MGF pool classic is been revived. The first winners were the Champion in 1993 and the last winners were Dempsey’s Den in 2001. In the intervening years the Champion won on two more occasions, but the most dominant team in the competition were a team called Crimeline who won on four occasions and contested practically every final. The closing date for entries is on Sunday, 17th Feb. A team consists of 5 players and 1 sub. For more information contact 0879053862.
