Age Action Group develop Boyle archive

Sounds, pictures and recollections of Boyle were collected recently by a group based in Willow Grove Day Centre. The project ran from September to November, concluding last Thursday, 29th November. It resulted in a community multimedia archive for the group with photos of meaning to them, along with sound recordings and reminiscences. Age Action West and Roscommon Mental Health Services, with funding from the Community Foundation for Ireland, undertook the project. Dr. Chris Levack in the University of York designed the software which enables people to scan photos, make sound recordings about them and add a paragraph or two about the item.
