Independent County Councillor and local election candidate Domnick Connolly has called on the Government to increase its efforts to create jobs in rural Ireland and in Co. Roscommon in particular.
“The economy continues to improve and there are plenty of job announcements around the country on a regular basis but sadly none of those relate to County Roscommon.
“I am calling on the Government, the IDA and Enterprise Ireland to increase their efforts to provide employment here in County Roscommon. Their efforts in recent years have been almost non-existent and it’s time that the issue was highlighted and I shall be doing so during the course of this election campaign,” he concluded.
