Upgrade works aimed at improving accessibility at Boyle Train Station have been completed, with the enhanced facilities officially opened this week.
The project includes a new mobility-impaired access structure incorporating lifts, staircases and an elevated walkway, providing improved access between the station’s platforms.
The works represent a significant accessibility improvement at the North Roscommon station, making it easier for passengers with reduced mobility, as well as older passengers and those travelling with luggage or young children, to move between platforms.
The completion of the project forms part of ongoing efforts to improve accessibility across Ireland’s public transport network.
Further details on the final cost and funding of the Boyle project were not available at the time of publication.
