Roscommon’s Literary Festival for children, the BookWorms Festival, makes a welcome return this summer.
Last year’s inaugural festival proved so popular with youngsters that this year it’s back and it’s even bigger!
The festival runs from Wednesday 8th-Saturday 11th June, with events taking place all around Roscommon town including in Roscommon Arts Centre, Roscommon Library, The Comfy Cafe, The Peppermill, Molloy’s Bakery, Gleeson’s Townhouse and various schools in the county.
The festival launch takes place in Roscommon Library on Thursday, 9th of June at 6 pm with author Gerry Boland launching his first book of poems for children, ‘The Secret Lives of Mothers’.
The festival is jam-packed with an array of great events. The BookWorms Events Brochure is available now from Roscommon Arts Centre, Roscommon Library, Roscommon Arts Office and a host of venues and locations around Roscommon town. You can also download it at www.roscommonartscentre.ie.
