A celebration of our musical heritage

On Saturday, 3rd of December in St. Joseph’s Hall, Boyle, the rich cultural heritage of County Roscommon will be celebrated with a night of Traditional Music, Song and Dance performed by some of the finest musicians, singers and dancers from around the county.

  Performers include a mix of the county’s internationally recognised musicians including Cathy Jordan of Dervish fame, Alan Kelly and John Carty, as well as national treasures such as Paddy Ryan, John Wynne, Patsy Hanly, Tommy Guihan, John Carlos, Francis Gaffney, The Moylurg Ceili Band, The South Roscommon Singers and many more.

  ‘Roscommon Airs’ is an opportunity to explore the wealth of musical tradition which lives and breathes in the county.

  As a sign of the significance of this event the Irish Traditional Music Archive of Ireland will be present to record this historic night.

  This celebration event has received funding under the Community Tourism Diaspora Initiative, funded by Roscommon County Council, IPB Insurance and Fáilte Ireland.

  Tickets are €20 and available through Úna Bhán Tourism. Donations will be made from the proceeds to The Tommy Simon Fund and Úna Bhán Tourism.
