According to figures released by the HSE on Wednesday there are on average 38 people using the A&E Unit at Roscommon County Hospital every day, with 12 of those people being admitted to the hospital. The figures also reveal that there are no delays in admission to the hospital beds once a patient is in A&E. The situation in Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe is that on average 63 people attend the A&E Unit there with 16 people being admitted on average with little or no waiting time. The figures relate to the month of April 2007.
