€338,220 to build social houses in Cloonfad

Senator Frank Feighan has welcomed a funding allocation of €338,220 by Housing Minister Eoghan Murphy to Roscommon County Council to build two social houses in Cloonfad.

“Minister Murphy has given the Council the funding go-ahead to construct two two-bedroomed houses.

“This development in Cloonfad follows on from Government allocations totalling €2m to Roscommon County Council in March and April to purchase a total of 14 houses at two different estates in Roscommon Town.

“All of this funding shows the Government is helping the county council to address the social housing shortage.

“I look forward to these houses in Cloonfad being built by the Council as soon as possible.”
